First on the Fleischmann front is the new HO gauge model of
the Class P6 steam engine, which is illustrated on the front
cover of the new catalogue.

Originally constructed in 1902, these small engines, with tiny driving wheels were designed to haul both freight and passenger trains. At the end of the First World
War, 100 of the fleet of 285 were given to other European railways as reparation. They were all retired in the 1950's.

The newly liveried diesel engine in burgundy/ivory, used to
haul special "nostalgia" excursions by the DB has now arrived.

Nostalgia... the only diesel loco in the burgundy and ivory livery.
Besides these two versions, there is also the same loco (but with different running number) available as track cleaner. The trailing, non-driven bogie is equipped with two motor-driven rotating cleaning discs to keep the rails clean!

Whilst just over the border in Austria, there's a green museum livery electric loco, the Rh 1020, which also used to run into Switzerland and her sister Rh 1020 in the orange livery of the 1990's;

Developed in the late 1930's, these classic

Track maintenance!

 

Even if you're not using the famous FLEISCHMANN Ready-Ballasted trackwork, just like the real railways, track must be maintained and in Germany, this task is outsourced to the Company of WIEBE, whose bright yellow trains can be seen everywhere.

From the historical foundations of the Trans-Europe Express network of named luxury trains linking the major cities of
Europe in the 1970's, these Fiat built coaches made up the exciting "Lemano" express linking Milan in Italy with Geneva in Switzerland. The name "Lemano" was made up from the Lake Lemain (Lake Geneva).
